The Joint Statement on the China-US Economic and Trade Meeting in Geneva was released on May 12, with both countries agreeing to take measures to lower bilateral tariffs. Seizing this opportunity, export-oriented enterprises in Taizhou are stepping up efforts to fulfill overseas orders and diversify markets.
At Taizhou Yuanda Group in Taixing, production lines for cartoon and animation products are now operating around the clock. With international demand rebounding, the company has resumed previously delayed orders and is working at full capacity.
The company is also strengthening its presence in Europe and planning manufacturing expansion in Southeast Asia to support long-term global growth.
Meanwhile, at Hutchin Manufacturing, a custom-designed tool cabinet for European clients is being produced. The product is tailored for the automotive repair sector and provides efficient and secure storage solutions.
"Our non-US market share has grown to 40 to 50 percent," said Xie Cuibin, the general manager. "We're seeing particularly strong demand from Europe, where orders are expected to grow four to five-fold this year. Markets in Japan and Australia are also expanding rapidly."
In 2024, Taixing had 32 enterprises with exports to the US exceeding $1 million, contributing to a total export value of $958 million. Local authorities continue to support businesses by arranging for them to participate in international trade exhibitions and helping them access online platforms to expand global sales channels and enhance competitiveness.
